When I started writing this blog just over two years ago I had no idea what people would think, how many people would read it or just where it would take me. Psoriasis is a huge part of my life and it has even taken over in the blogging world for me as I no longer update my old food blog. Strangely though, this blog would never have come about if it had not been for a one of piece on my food blog to help raise awareness of the condition during Psoriasis Awareness Week.
Here we are two years on and I have had over 10,000 views (not sure if that’s a lot or not for a blog on this subject), I have been interviewed by two other websites, interviewed on local radio, been in the inner sanctum of the Houses of Parliament, taken part in an e-book and been on a professional photo shoot, spoken at the Royal Society of Medicine and even turned my hand to poetry. I have also met some inspirational and amazing people, whether in person or only via the world of Twitter.
Just recently I was contacted by Healthline, a US based website, to be told I have been selected in their top psoriasis blogs of 2014. Well I actually heard before through the grapevine from one of my psoriasis friends. It is a great list of blogs (not including me there) and I was really happy to see some of the people I already knew through the psoriasis community, especially my fellow UK bloggers Jessica and Kara. To be included in the same list as these bloggers is extremely flattering and I feel very honoured. I am not a writer and have never claimed to be, all I do is vent so not sure why you all want to read. Anyway, the full list can be found on the Healthline Website.
All I can say is thank you to Healthline and to everyone that takes the time to read my blog. In what has been a fairly depressing time with my skin you have all made me feel much better, thank you.
